for the birds!
This week we went with a bird theme and did some learning activities with our left over plastic Easter eggs! This was a really easy unit for me to put together, thanks to Jolanthe over at Homeschool Creations and for the girls since all of the activities were a review for them.

insect collages
Here are the insect collages that we did last week to go along with The Very Quiet Cricket. I found the idea online somewhere, but there wasn't a picture to go along with the idea. So, I guess this is the way they are supposed to look! I just went to google images and found the insects and printed them out.
materials-
insect sheets
tissue paper cut into small squares
watered down glue
paint brush
scissors
directions-
1. print out insect sheets
2. pour a small amount of glue in a bowl
3. add just a little bit of water to the glue, mix
4. paint the glue mixture on the insect
5. place tissue squares on the insect, overlapping to form a collage look
